Let’s face it, life is busy. I’m reminded of that as I am writing this devotion trying to squeeze it in before my next client call. My attention is scattered across so many things and my devotion to my relationship with God starts to wander.

But here’s the grace: God is not distant when my devotion to Him wanders or gets caught up in the chaos of life. He is present and He waits as He invites me back, not with shame but with open arms.

He doesn’t want perfection or performance from me. He just wants my heart to turn back to Him and say: “Lord, I want You again.”

So today, I’m asking myself, right now before I go to coach my client:

  • Where has my attention been going lately?
  • What has been filling my cup?
  • What would it look like to return my focus?
  • What is one small moment I can slow down and be present with Him?
