Tis The Season
We can’t ignore the level of stress that this season of “no stopping at anytime” creates for us. Ignoring it creates a whole new season of distress!
But we can be intentional to defining the “reason for the season”. As a follower of Christ our reason for the holidays is to celebrate the birth of Jesus, who was God, coming to earth as a baby, the light of the world, to save us. Foretold by the prophet Isaiah:
“For unto us a child is born, to us a son is given;
And the government shall be upon his shoulder, and his name shall be called
Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace” (Isaiah. 9:6)
Isaiah is announcing God’s surprising plan of grace and glory for all people.
Jesus is our great beacon of light and our only hope in this world of madness.
Creating awareness of our true reason for the season is what will get us to our goal to STOP THE MADNESS and take back control of our holiday season!
“May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that by the power of the Holy Spirit you may abound in hope”. (Romans 15:13)
